Teeghan's Ice Bar

Teeghans Ice Bar opened up in January 2008 on 2nd Street SE. Owner Tory Thompson, named the bar after his son, Teeghan Orlando Thompson. It has been a dream of Tory’s to own his own bar for several years and when asked why he named it Teeghans, he said “It’s named after my son, and what’s better than naming it after the one person I love most in the world.” Shortly after opening Teeghans, Cedar Rapids was hit by the devastating, now infamous Flood of 2008. Teeghans Ice Bar had over 7 feet of water on the main level resulting in a total loss like so many other small businesses in the Cedar Rapids Downtown area. On May 21, 2009, almost one (1) year post flood, Teeghans relocated and opened their doors at 315 2nd Ave SE across from Bricks and next to Volume. Teeghans offers a relaxing unique atmosphere which offers lounge seating, pool tables, music and a full….one of a kind liquor wall offering all your favorite flavors. Teeghans friendly and outgoing staff are ready to serve you.
