Mahoney's Irish Pub was established in December, 1993 by Dennis Mahoney. After purchasing the business on December 13th, Mahoney quickly transformed former Werni's Tap, into an authentic Irish Pub and opened to the public on the 15th of that same month. The success of the pub has been in the quality of the staff over the years. Mahoney's has experienced well below the average in staff turnover due to the friendly clientele. Since Mahoney's doesn't run "beer specials", the pubs' followers are there because of what is offered as their daily operation rather than "fancy" promotions that bring in one-time shoppers looking for cheap drinks (which only takes away seating from our valued guest.) Mahoney's has established itself as a marquee pub with premier beer and liquor diversity. Mahoney himself has travel to many national and world beer festivals. Through his travels to Europe three times and to Asia twice, he is more convinced that the Irish DO know their beer!!!
